DGNB Gold-certified residential building in Lüneburg

Realization Competition 2013 - 1st Prize -
apartment building with 17 flats

The new building in the heart of Lüneburg's Hanseviertel sets strong, conceptual accents and connects with the green town square through projecting and receding storey levels, layering and references to the surroundings. The gently sloping attic lines strengthen the dynamic overall figure.
Efficiency standard kfw 55 and DGNB certification in gold attest to a high standard of living quality and sustainability.

All flats are lighted from two sides and have loggias and terraces within the relief-like façade.

The floor plans are flowing, with some apartments being structured by inserted organic freeform elements. The resulting connections and intelligent storage spaces emphasize the spaciousness of the apartments.

Not a staircase, but a walkable sculpture - which becomes an experience while climbing.

Purposefully placed windows brings the green directly inside

The unmistakable trademark is the loggia facade, which gives the building a unique appearance. In a playful arrangement, the 17 residential units look out over the town square through the numerous passepartouts. And in the evening, one can enjoy the sun setting behind the silhouette of Lueneburg.

The structural figure and geometry of the surrounding green patches form a symbiotic unity
